On August 8, 1894, Dr. John Harvey Kellogg and his brother, Will Keith Kellogg accidentally invented Corn Flakes. On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1884, Dr. John Harvey Kellogg patented “flaked cereal.” It was meant as a cure for onanism, but they found that if you added fruit, sugar, and milk, it became a delicious breakfast.
