On December 27, 2010, police responded to a frightened and concerned husband. He’d received word that his young wife had been kidnapped and if he sent 20,000 euros to the account provided, the kidnappers would release his wife unharmed. He was also instructed to not and I repeat not contact the police. So he did what any intelligent, caring man would do. He contacted the police. The husband transferred the money and the police tracked the wife’s car and found it at a shopping mall at the Mediterranean coast city of Gandia. There, they also found the wife, in perfect health, shopping and enjoying herself. When confronted by the authorities, she first claimed that the kidnappers had let her go, but her story quickly fell apart and she admitted the truth. She faked her abduction to see how much her husband loved her and what he’d be willing to do to save her. Apparently this woman was too young to remember the 1986 Bette Midler/Danny DeVito movie, ‘Ruthless People”. The police did arrest her and there was no later mention if the Catholic Church had granted her husband a divorce.

We have TwistBot 3000. Share this post, in small, unmarked clicks, and he will be released unharmed. Do not attempt to contact the police. If you fail to follow these instructions, your Cybernetic Minion will be disassembled and used for spare parts.
