On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1993 a Toronto lawyer performed the act of accidental self-defenestration. From the 24th floor of the Toronto-Dominion Bank Tower, attorney Garry Hoy would performed the ultimate “Hey ya’ll, look at this!” moment for new employees and curious onlookers. He would run at the building’s upper storey windows and launch his body toward them and allow his body to slam against the safety glass to show how strong they were and illustrate his trust in the windows ability to hold. On July 9, 1993 they didn’t and Mr. Hoy fell 24 floors to his death.
