On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1099 Christian soldiers on the First Crusade march around Jerusalem looking for the tourist section and the red-light district. It did not take long for the Arabic population to build the required stalls to sell hot meat pies, meat on a stick, and meat curry dishes to the hungry soldiers as well as souvenir slivers of wood from the original cross that Jesus had been crucified upon.
