December 24, 1968

On December 24, 1968, three days after launching, Apollo 8 reached the moon. It was crewed by astronauts James Lovell, William Anders and Frank Borman. They orbited the moon ten times before successfully returning to Earth. They proved the moon was 238,000 miles from the Earth and had a diameter of 2,160 miles. Once again, there were no hidden Nazi bases on the dark side of the moon and the back side of the moon actually exists. It wasn’t like Schrodinger’s cat. It existed and would have existed even if man never physically observed it.
