On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com in 2009, the state of Maine legalized gay marriage. Maine Governor John Baldacci signed the act and said, “What two people have to do to survive these brutal Maine Winter’s is really none of the government’s business.” The Governor was still dead set against allowing interspecies marriages as he said it was unnatural. Bear and Moose Love activists have vowed to never give up the fight as long as a single bear and moose couple want to get married and it doesn’t matter how much the moose protests and claims it’s a prey species and the bear is trying to kill and eat it. The Bear and Moose Love activists claim that with the proper counseling that Bear on Moose violence will decrease to acceptable levels.
