On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY! in 1923, Jacob Schick was granted a patent for the electric shaver. When asked how he came up with the idea, Jacob stated that he had grown tired of his wife dulling his razor on her legs. He said that no woman would be crazy enough to use an electric shaver in the bath-tub.
