On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1993 the US Supreme Court ruled that religious groups had a constitutional right to sacrifice animals during worship services. The burning of witches, cutting out of hearts during a solar eclipse on top of a pyramid, and the getting bit by a venomous snake is still illegal, but the death by snakes are winked at as the ones getting bit are volunteers.
