On this date in Twisted-History.com in 1990 angry smokers blocked a street in Moscow to protest the summer-long cigarette shortage. They would shout slogans for 5 minutes and then sit down and rest for an hour. They did that for two hours before they meandered over to the liquor store, bought vodka, and then went home.
