On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com in 1960, the Scottish Parliament met in response to the report that a group of young English scalawags were planning on dropping homemade bombs into the waters of Loch Ness to encourage the Loch Ness monster to surface. While the Scottish leaders would encourage and permit the scientific study of this mysterious creatures, they were dead set against allowing the English to practice their particular ‘brand’ of fishing, as they’ve had centuries of anecdotal evidence of what happens when drunk English men are allowed to roam the moors unsupervised. The Scot’s say that at least the Welsh will send nicely written notes to the sheep they encounter. The English just pretend nothing ever happened and will refuse to meet the gaze of their ovine accusers.
