January 4, 1936
On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1936, the first pop music chart based on national sales was published by ‘Billboard’ magazine. Parents of teenage children immediately began complaining about the loud ‘Big Band’ music being played on the radio and the vigorous dancing these kids were up to these days.

On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1922, the British Broadcasting Corporation began its daily news broadcasts on radio and would continue on television when TVs became popular and common place. Penguins would not be added as part of the standard British TV equipment until 1969.
