On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1897, the comic strip, “The Katzenjammer Kids” debuted in the United States. “The Katzenjammer Kids” was the first comic strip to use bubbles over the characters’ heads to indicate which character was speaking.

On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com in 1992, the Washington Post reported that Oregon Senator Bob Packwood had sexually harassed at least ten women over the last ten years. No one was surprised that a man named Packwood would be accused of sexual harassment.

May 30, 1783
On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1783 the first daily newspaper was published in the U.S. by Benjamin Towner called “The Pennsylvania Evening Post”. Within a week, the newspaper had received its first letter from a reader complaining about the newspaper’s liberal agenda.
