On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com in 1923 in Kalamazoo, Michigan, passed an ordinance that made it illegal for dancers to gaze into the eyes of their partner. The women of Kalamazoo snickered and said that the law wouldn’t affect anyone anyhow, as men weren’t looking at their eyes anyway.
