June 23, 1683

On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1683 William Penn signed a friendship treaty with the Lenni Lenape Indians in Pennsylvania. Friendship rings were exchanged and a sleep-over party was planned, but it was cancelled at the last minute when William Penn’s mother learned that girls had been invited to the party.
