November 2, 1957

On November 2, 1957, several eye witnesses in Levelland, Texas reported spotting UFOs on the highway. They all claimed to see a bluish light on the road that appeared to be at least 100 feet long and shaped like a cigar. The eye witnesses all said that the engines and radios in their cars or trucks would just die and they’d coast to a stop. The UFO would then rocket up off the road and fly away, which is when the eye witnesses’ cars and trucks would restart and they’d be able to leave. The Air Force said after investigating the UFOs that there were no UFOs. It was either ball lightning or it was swamp gas from a weather balloon trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus. Ripsorck Episilom 14 of Gliese 832 later sent the US Air Force a letter apologizing for the fuss and thanking them for their help when his Chi Beta Tau Cruiser broke down in Texas.
