On This Date in! in 2014 the US Supreme Court ruled that the whistleblower protection provided by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act extended to private employees who worked for public companies which were under contract to the federal government. They also ruled that “Snitches get Stitches” was not a legal remedy that could be used against whistleblowers.
