On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1851 – Maine became the first U.S. state to enact a law that prohibited alcohol. The state of New Hampshire and the country Canada quickly set up businesses and stores just across the state borders to sell alcohol to Maine’s citizens and made literally, thousands and thousands of dollars.

    I don’t know why everybodyis so quick I mean there ae worse things and what’s wrong with a little drink every now and then? I’d hate to Canada just to qunch my thirst but a mans gotta do I suppose! This is a funny article I hope it’s not reall though, I mean it’s like the Onions right? Tht Onion is some funny shit some times.
