On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1911, Major Jimmie Erickson took the first photographs from an airplane while flying over San Diego, CA. The first photograph was of the city itself, but he convinced his pilot to fly lower and he was able to get several nice photographs of Ms. Edith Trupence as she was sunbathing topless, for his and the pilot’s private collections.
