On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1967 the Madrid Codices were found after being lost for centuries. The codices were the personal notebooks of Leonardo da Vinci and included almost 200 pages of drawings and notes. They were discovered in the National Library of Spain, where they had been misplaced for centuries. A librarian found that they had been misfiled in the Self-Help Section behind the book “Men, You Should Listen To Your Wives and Ask For Directions on Your Way to the Crusades”. When the Codices were reviewed it was found that da Vinci made a lot of drawing in the margins of the pages of fart jokes, male genitalia, and breasts.
