December 19, 1997

On December 19, 1997, the movie “Titanic” opened in movie theaters across America. American women swooned with the forbidden romance of Jack and Rose and they memorized every second of the scene where Jack allowed himself to drown rather than risk Rose falling off the wood paneling she was using as a raft. Men forced to watch this movie with their wives and or girlfriends noticed that there was MORE than enough room for Jack and Rose on that makeshift raft. But Rose was a bed and cover hog and Jack probably preferred drowning than being stalked by Rose if they were both rescued.
