On This Date in! in 1503, physician, astrologer and clairvoyant Nostradamus was born at St. Remy, Provence, France. In 1553, he foretold his own birth in his famous quatrain;

December 14, 1503,

A wise seer will be born at St.Remy in France,

His prediction will be astonishing and not a bit necromance.

Belief in his ability is foretold,

So buy his books and get out of the cold. Burma Shave!

Not his best work, but it sold almanacs.

  1. Ralph Hister says:

    He also predicted my rise to power.

    Admittedly, that other guy kind of beat me to the punch (and even appropriated the prediction about me, claiming it was about HIM), but I’m just biding me time. I will eventually rise up and wage war across Europe, just as Nostradamus said…

    I really hope it’s soon though, because I’m pushing 124 years old here and any war waging I do now is going to involve lots of bathroom breaks.
