On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com in 2011 Nigeria finally held a presidential election and Goodluck Jonathan was elected. Immediate and widespread violence was reported in the northern part of the country. Due to the unpopularity of Goodluck Jonathan, the administration of the ex-president, Umaru Yar’Adua, secretly contacted millions of Americans through secret e-mails and implored them to help transfer millions and millions and MILLIONS of dollars from hidden accounts in the Bank of Nigeria to banks in America. All these frightened ex-government officials required from the sympathetic Americans were their bank account information, social security numbers, home addresses, telephone numbers and mothers’ maiden names. In return, the Americans would be allowed to keep 10% to 25% of the money transferred through their accounts. What could possibly go wrong?
