On April 22, 1963, Lester B. Pearson was sworn in as the 14th Prime Minister of Canada. He chose dagnabit, gee willickers, and fudging eh, as his swear words. Queen Elizabeth sent him a telegram congratulating him on his excellent choices of words of emphasis.
