April 10, 1938

On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com in 1938 New York made it mandatory to get tested for syphilis in order to get a marriage license. Many New York natives angrily confronted their congressmen and aldermen and demanded just how they were to get this syphilis thing and what was considered a passing grade.
