March 14, 1899

On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1899, Count Ferdinand Von Zeppelin was issued a US patent for his invention of the ‘Navigable Balloon’. This rigid airship was known as the Zeppelin. Nothing twisted, just thought it was interesting that the Zeppelin was named after its inventor.
