September 30, 1960

On September 30, 1960, on Howdy Doody’s (the evil Ron Howard impersonating puppet’s) last show, Clarabelle the Clown finally talked and said, “Ph’nglui mglw’naf’h Cthulhu R’lyeh wgah’nagl fhtagen. Goodbye Kids.”

My Chthulian is a bit rusty, but that sounded like a pretty dire warning. On the plus side, at least she wouldn’t have to worry about Khrushchev any more. Share Twisted-History to take out a restraining order against the denizens of R’lyeh. It won’t do any good, but at least you can say you tried.

About Joel Byers

Born in North Georgia and educated at some very fine public institutions. Real education started after graduating from college and then getting married and raising two boys. Has the ability to see the funny and absurd in most things and will always remark on it, even if it means getting the stink-eye from his victims.
