On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY! in 1963 “My Favorite Martian” premiered on CBS-TV. It starred Ray Walston as the Martian and Bill Bixby as his hapless human caretaker. It ran from 1963 until 1966, which were also the years when UFOs were seen the most often and people abduction stories slowly began to surface. Unknown to most people, Ray Walston was a Terran man and had no Martian blood in him, it was Bill Bixby who was the Martian and would turn green when he became upset and angry.
