On September 25, 1992, in Orlando, Florida, 12-year-old Gregory Kingsley was legally divorced from his biological parents. Twelve, thirteen, and fourteen year-olds throughout the United States immediately threatened to divorce their parents when their later curfews, smoking attempts, and back-sassing was blocked by said parents. Unfortunately for these young teenagers, most parents already had the paperwork filled out and were ready to go to court. Those teenagers learned not to threaten someone with freedom.
