On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY! in 1957, Great Britain performed well on its nuclear test at Maralinga, Australia. It scored very well on the multiple choice section with a grade of 94, but the essay section of the test almost brought it a failing grade as the American scorers deducted points for spelling aluminum incorrectly and for adding a paragraph explaining the benefits of universal health-care.
