On THIS DATE IN TWISTED-HISTORY! in 1938, a time capsule was buried at the World’s Fair in New York City, which was to be dug up and opened in 6939. The capsule contained a woman’s hat, a man’s pipe, and 1,100 feet of microfilm. The capsule will be later dug up in 11,346 on August 3rd by the Raccoon People of the White Water Tribe (opposable thumbs, people) during the construction of a temple to their God, Joel Byers, he who said, “I’m not voluntarily giving up my place on top of the food chain, let’s eat some meat.” Opening the capsule, they found the hat, the pipe, and a large amount of black, oily dust. Being evolved raccoons, they promptly put the hat on, stuffed the pipe with the dust and smoked it and become extremely ill.
