On October 24, 1969, actor Richard Burton bought his wife Elizabeth Taylor a 69-carat Cartier diamond ring for $1.5 million, which would be worth around $10.6 million dollars today. This just goes to show that number 1, love is expensive, and number 2, men are just like those birds that have to give a pretty shiny to their mate to get sex. It’s nature. Don’t fight it.

And number 3, even a 69-carat diamond and a 50-carat pearl can't overcome years of heavy drinking and fighting. They should've tried Sharing Twisted-History. It works better and it's also a lot cheaper.
