November 6, 1975

On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1975, the Sex Pistols played their first live show at St. Martin’s College of Art in London, England. All of the 100 people who attended (which later grew to 14,500 in the telling) left the ‘concert’ and described it as an audio assault and battery. They said it was like getting kicked in the brain with a hobnailed boot by a group of over-sexed and under-f%$ked drunken howler monkeys who happened to find musical instruments in their hands as they screamed at the humans in front of them. They weren’t sure if they liked it or not, but they would pay good money to see this train-wreck again.

About Joel Byers

Born in North Georgia and educated at some very fine public institutions. Real education started after graduating from college and then getting married and raising two boys. Has the ability to see the funny and absurd in most things and will always remark on it, even if it means getting the stink-eye from his victims.
