On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1792, the Farmer’s Almanac is first published. It instantly became the 2nd most popular book/magazine in an American’s home and the most useful. Its popularity will not be replaced until 1888, when the first Sears catalogue is published and mailed to American consumers and nailed up inside their outhouses.
