November 1, 1952

On November 1, 1952, the United States exploded the first hydrogen bomb on Eniwetok Atoll in the Marshall Islands. No Ewoks were harmed in this test explosion. That’s because Ewoks live on the forest moon of Endor and are imaginary creatures created in the feverish imagination of George Lucas. They’re not real. Or even particularly needed in the Star Wars universe. Prove me wrong.

I’ll take Ewoks over Jar-Jar Binks, any day of the week. Share this post, if you agree... or if you disagree; we’ll know the difference.

About Joel Byers

Born in North Georgia and educated at some very fine public institutions. Real education started after graduating from college and then getting married and raising two boys. Has the ability to see the funny and absurd in most things and will always remark on it, even if it means getting the stink-eye from his victims.
