On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! In internet arguments, the first person to resort to the statement “That’s what the Nazi’s did!” is ruled the automatic loser in the argument. The main reason being, the person throwing out the Nazi argument usually has no idea if the Nazi’s really did so or not, they just say it because they’re angry and they want the other person to be associated with something evil, like Nazis. On this day in 1933 Hitler banned trade unions in Germany. Why? Because trade unions gave a political voice he didn’t want to compete against. So, if you find yourself arguing against someone who is staunchly anti-union and believes unions are evil incarnate, you can console yourself with the fact that Hitler also hated unions.

    He did, just last week. He was complaining about how Attila the Hun and Vlad the Impaler never got compared with him any more.
