On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1905 in New York, radium was tested as a cure for cancer. I guess they believed Nietzche and tried to see what dosage of radium wouldn’t kill a person, but make them immune to cancer, like becoming immune to rattlesnake venom. All the people tested died. Nietzche was the philosopher who said, “That which doesn’t kill you, makes one stronger.” I guess radiation poisoning is an outlier of that equation.
