March 7, 1979

On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1979, while examining photographs taken by the Voyager 1 spacecraft, it was discovered just like Saturn, Jupiter had a ring around it. When scientists were asked what this meant, they replied that this had to mean that Jupiter was the man as its ring was small and barely viewable and that Saturn had to be the woman as its ring was large and glorious. The reporters then asked real scientist what it meant that Jupiter had a ring, they replied that they would know more if Uranus and Neptune had rings and until they had more information, anything they said would be speculation. Besides, the scientists reported that the majority of the planets were known to be male as they all had male names, except for Venus and Earth, which were known to be female, hence the feminine names.
