On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! In 1991 dead President Zachary Taylor’s body was exhumed to test how he died. He died quite suddenly from a stomach related illness on July 9, 1850. There were rumors that he was poisoned by pro-slavery people, but the tests done during the exhumation showed there was no poison in his body. It was more likely that he was killed by doctors who used excessive amounts of ipecac, calomel, opium and quinine in several attempts to cure his fever and intestinal distress. In the 1850s doctors were as apt to kill a man as the disease.

    Speaking of dead presidents, I’m still not seeing enough posts about me.

    I was president too, you know, and a lost more interesting one than Zachary “My Tummy Hurts” Taylor! (What? Too soon?)

    News moves slow in the afterlife, but I heard they’re putting some chick on money or something. I’m cool with that, but shouldn’t they put me on money first? I think they should ditch that loser Grant and put me on the $50. I’d rather be on the $100, but the Franklin lobby has got that shit sewn up.
