June 17, 1963

On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1963 the US Supreme Court ruled against the required reading of the Bible and forced school prayer in public schools. Pastafarians throughout the United States were overjoyed when this happened as they believed they had found a way to proselytize to the Christian majority in the public schools. They were immediately successful in having both spaghetti and pizza added to the school lunch menus and children and teenagers across the United States quickly converted and rejoiced, as Thursday was pizza/spaghetti day.
