On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1978 the U.S. reported the finding of wiretaps in the American embassy in Moscow. Premier Kosygin was very unapologetic as he was heard to say, “Wiretaps? Of course there are wiretaps on their phones. There are bugs in their radios. Even the hookers they hire are reporting back to us. Do you know how many of the American diplomats need to be spanked by a domineering woman? I do. And the Americans are making a big deal out of wiretaps. They should be more concerned with the hidden cameras.”
