July 24, 2001

On July 24, 2001, Simeon Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, the last Tsar of Bulgaria when he was a child from 1943 to 1946, was sworn in as the Prime Minister of Bulgaria. He became the first monarch in history to regain political power through a democratic election. He was 64 years old. And yes, his last name WAS Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, the very same as King George V’s family before he changed it to Windsor during World War II. Simeon is a cousin of Queen Elizabeth of England. I told you in an earlier Twisted-History that the European monarchy was as inbred as the current breed of English Bulldogs. Which is the reason why Queen Elizabeth has been perfectly fine with her son and grandsons marrying outside the monarchy. You do get some weird telekinetic powers, but the Hapsburg Jaw and hemophilia can kill off a family line pretty quick.
