On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 2009, archeologists in Egypt entered a 4,300 year old pyramid and discovered the mummy of Queen Shesheshet, the founder of the short-lived Tourette Dynasty of the Rude Period of Egyptian History. The Rude Period existed briefly between the Fifth and Sixth Dynasties. Queen Shesheshet was the mother of the Pharaoh Knoknoknoshet who was able to hold back the Mitanni Empire, but his son, Knophuphuphuquinshet was a complete dunderhead and lost his only battle to the Assyrians and the family of Teti assumed Egypt’s leadership and drove the Assyrians out.
