February 21, 1988

On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! 1988 in Baton Rouge, LA, TV evangelist Jimmy Swaggart confessed to his congregation that he was guilty of an unspecified sin. While he wouldn’t come out name it, he did say it rhymed with “tucking a boar” and that he had ‘tucked that boar’ three times in one night. Many people in the congregation thought Mr. Swaggart sounded proud of that last statement and were a little disappointed. He announced that he was leaving the pulpit temporarily and not because someone had pictures of his ‘boar tucking’ but because he needed to get right with God and determine how much money that ‘boar’ required before she’d give him the pictures of their ‘tucking’.

    Dear Mr. Twisted History,

Your doing it again young man!

Nobody has any business tucking boars. much less talking so much about it. I’m not sure what it is exactly but it sounds REALLY dirty and that’s enough for me.

I thought we talked about this and you agreed to try to be a little more couth when posting.

    Yours Truly,
    Henrietta Futslucker
