December 7, 1987

On December 7, 1987, Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev arrived in America for the first time. He was in the US to have a meeting with US President Ronald Reagan. During the meeting it was rumored that Gorbachev asked about the health of Clarabelle Cow. Reagan is rumored to have responded, “Heheh, you Ruskies still love that cow, huh? Just don’t get into a he said/she said like I did back in 1952. It might be wise if you talk to Cosby about how he keeps them quiet.”

If we’d seen this back in 1987, it would’ve had a very different meaning than it does now. Share this post, if you wish it was just about pudding.
