December 23, 1880

On December 23, 1880, Thomas Edison incorporated the Edison Electric Light Company of Europe. He said it was time for Europe to experience the strange magic of electricity, including that evil woman, Queen Victoria, who really shouldn’t be trying to bring me down. It was time to roll over Beethoven so Prussia could experience the clean energy of electricity and bring blue skies to Berlin. Also, if Europe couldn’t get the idea of modernization of electricity out of their heads, they could just turn to stone.

While I normally try not to encourage this sort of "humor", sometimes there's a sweet talkin' woman on the telephone line who just wants to shine a little love. Share this post to avoid the confusion and hold on tight to your dreams.
