On this date in Twisted-History.com in 1560, 14 year old Tycho Brahe of Denmark received his first telescope and became interested in astronomy. Tycho Brahe was known during his lifetime as an astronomer and alchemist and for his exact, accurate and comprehensive astronomical and planetary observations. Also on the August 21, 1560, Tycho Brahe became interested in biology, somewhat, as he found that his telescope could also be used to peer from his third story bedroom window in the home of the young widow, Ingred Carlson.
