August 20, 1968

On August 20, 1968, the second and the fastest of the Byers’ brothers, David Byers, was born thereby subjecting the world to the little known, but still hilarious comedic duo, David and Joel Byers, the “Hey ya’ll, watch this fame.” David perfected the “Survive the Bear Trap Punishment” trick, launched his Big Wheel off a ten-foot ramp, jumped many times off the roof of a house onto a trampoline and turned the resultant bounce into a double somersault, and refused to tell on his older brother for all their stupid ideas and adventures, because snitches get stitches. Happy birthday, brother.

About Joel Byers

Born in North Georgia and educated at some very fine public institutions. Real education started after graduating from college and then getting married and raising two boys. Has the ability to see the funny and absurd in most things and will always remark on it, even if it means getting the stink-eye from his victims.
