On THIS DAY IN TWISTED-HISTORY in 1851, Isaac Singer patented the sewing machine and talented women and fashion designers worldwide were grateful. On the other hand, on this same date in 1856, Anthony Fass patented the accordion, and little fat Wisconsin kids everywhere lived to cursed his name, except for Weird Al Yankovic, who used the accordion and his odd and unsightly hair-don’t to become slightly famous with his pop satiristic songs. Also, a little known fact was that in the early 1990s, Weird Al was paid by the CIA to act as a body double for Mommar Ghaddafi.
