April 26, 1980

On April 26, 1980, professional stuntman, Peter Horak set the world record for the longest jump by a jet-boat during the filming of the movie, “A Man Who Fell From the Sky”. He jumped 120 feet with the boat. Since this was done in 1980, it was reported that just before he took off, someone said, “Here, hold my beer.” This is false. Since it was done by a professional stuntman in 1980, the correct phrase said was, “Here, hold my percodan.”
