On This Date in TWISTED-HISTORY.com! in 1895, Volley Ball was invented by W.G. Morgan. It wasn’t until 1959 with the invention of Spandex by Joseph C. Shivers of DuPont and the development of volleyball shorts that the athletic world of women’s Volley Ball took off in popularity.
